Our large backyard includes a lot of our different enjoyments; garden railroad, swimming pool, kid's playground area, greenhouse, deck/hottub, a large water garden/koi pond (approximately 15 small koi and goldfish), lots of large trees and garden areas, including a Square Foot Garden.

The garden railroad started 2-1/2 years ago has grown considerably during the last year and though it has yet to be completely connected up, it's doing great.  Included in the train area is a small scale lake with running stream. There is a scratch built bridge, two tunnels and lots of retaining walls, a 14' suspension bridge over the large pond and lots more. Lots of different plants, both miniature and traditional have been planted in and around the train areas.

The bridges, the buildings, the retaining wall and most other railroad structures have all been scratchbuilt by my husband and I.

Total track measurements total 738 ft. and includes the following

Main track -Loop 1 - 275', Loop 2 - 75', Loop 3 - 99' and Loop 4 - 62' = 511' total
Bridge (Transition) area - 97' = 511' total
Sidings - Railyard (4 siding of 21', 20', 19' and 17');  Train Station Siding - 27'; Passing Siding - 23' = 130' total

The small 50'ish town is still under construction, but roads are in place and probably a few surprises.
