Salvia – Sage… It’s not just for Thanksgiving!

Sage – (Salvia officinalis) – Salvia Berggarten

Wide variety of culinary uses. Dusty, green leaves are used in dressing, sauces, salted herbs, sausage, and tea. Makes a good base for dried floral wreaths.

Sun – 16-30”T x 12”W – Perennial – Zone 4-8

Culinary – Leaves are used to flavor Mediterranean dishes, cheese, sausages, goose and pork, also stuffing.

Aromatic/cosmetic – a leaf infusion makes a rinse for dark hair and to treat dandruff.

Plant loved by bumblebees, butterflies and hummingbirds!
